Young Africans were thrashed 4-1 in a weekend derby encounter against local rivals Simba SC in the semi-final of the Tanzania Federation Cup.

Prior to the encounter the pair had met twice in the 2019/2020 football season with Young Africans getting the better of their local rivals with a 2-2 draw and a 1-0 win in the return fixture.

Simba SC were keen to prove a point against their arch-rivals and did so by taking a three goal advantage before Yong Africans pulled one back to give themselves a chance of a fairy tale ending, but Simba killed off their opponents with a fourth goal to put the match beyond doubts.

Meanwhile, an unhappy Bernard Morrison was seen storming straight into the changing room after he was substituted with 65 minutes gone.
