Polish centre-forward Robert Lewandowski has received the singular honour as the best player in the German Bundesliga for the 2019/2020 football season.

The 31-year old who seems to get better with age set a peculiar record at the start of the season by scoring in 11 consecutive league matches becoming the only player to do so in the top-flight.

He has also emerged as record holder for most goals scored by a non-German player scoring 33 times in 30 appearances in the 2019/2020 Bundesliga campaign.

He has now surpassed the 30 goal mark for the third time in his Bundesliga career only bettered by the Legendary Gerd Muller who achieved the feat five times.
