Benjamin Afutu’s next destination revealed.

Ghanaian midfielder Benjamin Afutu has left Ghana Premier League winners Accra Hearts of Oak to pursue pastures new. The combative midfielder rejected a new deal from the Ghanaian giants to sign for an Azerbajaini side, according to Kumasi-based Pure FM.

The 25-year-old turned down three separate offers from the Phobians who were eager to register him for their CAF Champions League campaign.

According to Kumasi-based radio station Pure FM the midfield dynamo had initially agreed to join the unnamed club during the winter transfer window.

He returned to Ghana after agreeing the deal and continued to finish the season for the Phobians as he netted 5 league goals in 29 games.
