Black Stars Midfielder Mohammed Kudus optimistic of securing victory against Bafana Bafana

Black Stars and AFC Ajax star Mohammed Kudus has expressed his side’s readiness to defeat South Africa and book a ticket to the 2021 Africa Cup Of Nations tournament in Cameroon.

The Black Stars of Ghana held their final training sessions at the FBN Stadium yesterday evening ahead of today’s crucial tie.

Mohammed Kudus speaking in an interview said;

“We are ready for today’s match, the focus is to qualify for AFCON and thats the aim of everyone in the team.

“The squad are eager to beat the South Africans today and make a headway in our hopes of securing qualification”.

Group C is blown wide open after Sudan’s 2-0 confortable win over Sao Tome and Principé with Ghana, South Africa and Sudan all tied with 9 points.

Ghana beating South Africa will automatically secure them a qualification to the AFCON tournament with the Black Stars having a better head-to-head record against Sudan and currently lead Sputh Africa 2-0.

The Black Stars squareoff with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the First National Bank Stadium Johannesburg with time scheduled at 4:00pm.
