2020/2021 GPL; Midfield Dynamo Justice Blay adjudged NASCO Man of the Match winner following a stellar performance against Hearts Of Oak

Medeama SC midfield rock Justice Blay was named NASCO Man of the Match following a magnificent performance as the Mauve and Yellow side secured a 1-0 win over Accra Hearts Of Oak in matchday 12 at the Akoon Park.

Medeama SC bounced back from last weeks 2-0 loss to league leaders Karela United as they secured a narrow 1-0 win over Accra giants Heart Of Oak in a titanic clash at the Akoon Park this afternoon.

The Mauve and Yellow side took the pressure to Hearts in the opening minutes of the game and should have opened the scoring on the 10th minute but Rashid Nortey shot was only directed to goalkeeper Richard Attah.

Medeama had another great chance to break the deadlock on the 30th minute but a great reflexes by Richard Attah denied Agyenim Boateng the first goal of the game. The first half ended in a goalless draw with both sides struggling to convert any of their chances created.

A good linkup play from Medeama saw them get the opening goal on the the 51st minute after midfield dynamo Justice Blay lashed home a powerful shot to give the Mauve and Yellow side a 1-0 lead.

Hearts Of Oak intensed their gameplay shortly after Medeama’s lead in search of an equaliser but couldn’t materialise any of their numerous chances created.

Justice Blay was named the MVP player award after wonderful performance displayed by the defensive rock in the heart of Medeama’s midfield as his goal ensured victory for the Mauve and Yellow side.

Medeama SC leapfrog to 9th after today’s victory on the league log with 17 points after matchday 12 of the ongoing 2021 Ghana Premier League.
