FC Barcelona beat an in-form Bayern Munich 3-0 at the Nou Camp in the first leg of the 2014/2015 UEFA Champions League semi-final to take advantage of the tie with Messi at the heart of things, scoring twice and setting Neymar up for the third.

With the game still perfectly poised at 1-0 courtesy a Lionel Messi strike, the Argentine then produced a moment of magic with an absolutely mesmerising skill to get past Jerome Boateng who was then at the peak of his powers to convert the second goal for the Catalan giants.

The German defender was ridiculed especially on social media for virtually collapsing to the floor in such a dramatic fashion after being turned in an out by the Argentine necromancer.

Exactly five years since the memorable incident on Wednesday, Jerome Boateng posted a tweet to remind followers of Germany’s World Cup triumph over Argentina in 2014.
