Thierry Henry’s Montreal Impact have confirmed the signing of Uganda International Mustafa Kizza from local side Kampala City Council FC.

Kizza has signed a two-year contract with his new employers with an option to extend his contract beyond the agreed two years which will commence on August 12.

The exciting left-back will however remain on loan at Kampala as a result of the coronavirus pandemic but could be called to represent the Canadian club whenever it is deemed fit to do so.

“We are really happy to acquire one of the best young players from Uganda,” Montreal Impact sporting director Olivier Renard said. “Mustafa Kizza is a modern attacking left-back with great crossing abilities and huge potential. He is good on free-kicks and his height will also help on set pieces.”

Kizza featured 19 times for KCCA FC, scoring five goals and 12 assists in the Uganda Premier League.
