RTU secure promotion to the Ghana Premier League.

Real Tamale United (RTU) secured promotion back into the Ghana Premier League after defeating Unity FC in their final game in the 2020/21 Division One League on Sunday afternoon. A first half brace from Yakubu Labandow secured Real Tamale United all the needed points over Unity FC at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium. RTU sealed their promotion to the top-flight league after finishing on top of the Division One League zone three log with 65 points.

The Northern Region based club squared off with same points on the log with Bofoakwa Tano but had a better head to head than Bofoakwa Tano that drew against Berekum Arsenal in Berekum. Real Tamale United were relegated from the Ghana Premier League after the 2013/14 Ghana Premier League season.
