Fabio Gama scored the resulting penalty. On the 37th minute, Asante Kotoko winger Evans Adomako lashed onto an Imoro Ibrahim cross in the 18 yard box to double the lead for hosts. Seth Kwadwo assisted Asamoah Boateng on the 55th minute as Deportivo pulled one back.
