Medeama SC ‘Goal Machine’ Ahmed Touré set to miss matchday 20 clash with Legon Cities

Medeama will miss the services of frontman Ahmed Touré this weekend when they lockhorns with Legon Citied at the Akoon Park in matchday 20.

The striker was given his marching order’s in Medeama’s 2-0 win over Dreams FC last weekend at home in matchday 19.

Toure, 33, was shown a second yellow card for a handball incident in the latter stages of the game against Dreams FC and will now serve a game ban.

The Burkinabé scored a brace for the Mauve and Yellows on the 16th and 64th minutes respectively to cushion the side to 5th on the league table.

Touré arrived at a neat cross pass from Justice Blay to put the Mauve and Yellow side in front on the early stages of halftime. A Zakaria Mumuni cheeky freekick chip perfectly found Ahmed Touré who made no mistake and slotted home to give Medeama to 2-0 victory.

Medeama will now be without their main goal threat for the must-win home game against the capital side who are revived after beating Great Olympics 2-0 in a derby win.
