GPL Clubs to undergo COVID-19 tests for second round

Mass testing of Premier League players, technical officials and league officials for the second round of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League is sceduled to take place this week.

Ghana Premier league clubs are obliged to take part in the necessary tests by the COVID-19 team in accordance to the safety protocols.

30 registered players, 10 technical officials and 5 officials of the 18 league clubs will undergo the mandatory COVID-19 tests to ensure safe health and the protocol rules of the Ghana Football Association.

The Ghana Football Association is also putting forward measures to ensure protocols are fully enforced at the various stadiums ordering all the 18 clubs to get stewards at their playing centres to help fight the battle against COVID-19.

The Ghana Premier League is expected to kickoff later this month for the second round of the 2020/2021 league campaign.
