Asante Kotoko Ast. Coach Johnson Smith satisfied with Porcupine Warriors performance against Hearts Of Oak

Assistant coach of Asante Kotoko Johnson Smith has praised his players in their 0-0 draw against Hearts of Oak in the match-day 14 outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture.

Kotoko were handed a penalty in the 3rd minute, but striker Kwame Poku’s kick was saved by goalkeeper Richard Attah.

In the dying embers of the game, Kotoko goalie Razak Abalora gifted Hearts of Oak a penalty as he cynically brought down Isaac Mensah but the Ghana international goalkeeper produced a brilliant save to stop Mensah’s shot.

Speaking after the game, Smith indicated that his players did well on the day.

“Rating my players, i will say they did well because we did not concede a goal and we didn’t score as well but they did well,” he said after the game.

Asante Kotoko and Hearts Of Oak are tied on 24 points each, but the Porcupine Warriors have two outstanding games against King Faisal and Bechem United.
