2021 DOL Zone 2; Sekondi Hasaacas FC suffer first defeat of the ongoing league campaign

Hasaacas suffered their first defeat of the season in a 1-0 lost to Samartex FC 1996 at the Samartex Stadium over the weekend.

Samartex hot-goalscoring machine Benjamin Yorke slotted in a beautiful penalty on the stroke of half-time to hand Hasmal their first game lost of the ongoing Division One Zone Two league campaign.

Sekondi Hasaacas FC put the test to Samartex in the opening minutes of the game and had a glorious chance to take the lead but Justus Torsutsey strike was easily handled.

Benjamin Yorke was then brought down in the penalty zone in the closing minutes of the first half which was awarded by Referee George Amoah. The inform goal poacher made no mistake as he slotted pass Anthony Brebo.

Philip Flamini who was named Man Of the Match had two penalty calls ignored by Referee Amoah in the second half after being brought down on two occasions in the penalty area.

Coach Mustapha Capito threw in more attacking options in search of an equaliser by bringing on the likes of Eduku Lamptey and Asare but their efforts proved futile as the game ended 1-0 in favour of Samartex FC 1996.
