GHANA PREMIER LEAGUE WEEK 14 PREVIEW – BEREKUM CHELSEA V ELEVEN WONDERS

Berekum Chelsea meet Eleven Wonders in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, with the three points at stake very important to the two teams as any side who fail to win may well drop into the dreaded relegation zone at the end of matchday 14.

Both teams have endured a difficult run this season. Berekum Chelsea, despite making changes to their technical department by appointing a new head coach in the person of Seth Hoffman, have not improved.

The Blues are three places above the relegation zone; however, they have the same points 14 as Legon Cities, who are third from bottom. Hence a defeat is likely to see them drop.

Hoffman has taken charge of five games and can only boast of one win against Bechem United. Prior to that, they threw away a three-goal lead to lose 4-3 to King Faisal. Results have to improve else he wouldn’t survive till the end of the season.

Eleven Wonders started the season well, per their mid-table ambitions. After two games, Wonders were considered top four candidates. They performed very well in their 1-1 draw with Kotoko and beat Dwarfs connivingly at home to pick four points from a possible six.

But they have lost their mojo and are now candidates for relegation. Last weekend, they were stunned 2-0 by Dreams FC at Techiman. A result which throws more light on their current state. Wonders have won just two of their last 10 games. They also have 14 points and are 15th.

Chelsea can rely on their great form at home – unbeaten in six games with three wins and three draws – against a side that have not enjoyed success away from home. In six travels, Wonders best results have been three draws.
