PARTEY TO MISS ARSENAL V LEEDS UNITED GAME

Ghana international has been ruled out of Arsenal’s next Premier League game against Leeds United this weekend.

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Teye Partey will be unavailable for selection in their Sunday’s clash with Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium due to injury.

Partey sustained a hamstring injury in their 1-0 away loss to Aston Villa on Saturday where he was substituted in the 74th minute, with Brazilian winger Willian replacing him.

The club’s official statement on Thursday afternoon stated that the 27-year-old will miss their home game against Leeds United due to a hamstring injury.

“Thomas [Partey] sustained a strain to his left hamstring during last Saturday’s match at Aston Villa and will miss the match against Leeds United on Sunday,” the club announced on its official website.

“Thomas [Partey] will continue to be assessed and rehabilitate from this injury.”

He has endured a stop-start season since he joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in October last year.

Earlier in the campaign Partey missed ten games with a hip problem, and he will hope that he doesn’t face another lengthy absence.
