The African Nations Championship is getting closer to the climax as the semi finals matches were played today. Mali took on Guinea while Morocco also rocked it on with host Cameroon.
The first semi finals game was between Mali and Guinea. Both countries were looking to qualifying to the grand finale. An exciting game ended with no goals after 90 minutes and extra time.
Mali was the first team to make it to the finals as they defeated Guinea 5-4 on penalties.
Defending champions Morocco also defeated host Cameroon from the competition. Cameroon who have been very impressive throughout the competition were flat to the Atlas lions of Morocco
Two first half goals from Sufiane Rahimi who is also currently the leading top scorer in the competition sa w Morocco lead by two goals in the first half.
Additional goals from Mohammed Bamammer and Soufiane Bouftini was enough to see Moroccos qualify to the finals of the competition.
Morroco will play Mali in the final whilst Guinea battle it out with Cameroon for the 3rd and 4th place.
