Liverpool FC have confirmed the signing of Schalke O4 defender Ozan Kabak on a six-months loan deal.
The 20 year-old joins the reigning Premier league champions on an initial £1m with an option to be made permanent at the end of the season for £18m.
Liverpool FC will pay the German side Schalke 04 at potential extra £500,000 on a mutual agreement should the defender feature for the Reds in a number of games as they persue to regain their league crown and champions league progress.
Ozan Kabak will wear the number 19 jersey for the Reds as he gives Jurgen Klopp a major reinforcement in the defensive department following injuries to Virgil Van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez.
Negotiations took much effect in the latter part of the day when Arsenal terminated the contract of Skhodran Mustafi to allow him join Schalke 04 paving the way for Liverpool to get their man.
“He is a big, big talent and we are really looking forward to working with him.
“He has a proper personality, very talented , he wants to learn but he can already deliver”. Jurgen Klopp said on the arrival of defender Ozan Kabak.
The Reds also completed the signing of Ben Davies from Preston North End for £2m on a long-term contract.
