HISTORY: Jordan Ayew tied with Chelsea Legend Michael Essien as Ghanaians with most assists in the EPL

Jordan Ayew assist in yesterday’s Crystal Palace 3-2 loss to WestHam United saw him tied with Chelsea Legend Michael Essien as all time Ghanaian with most assists in the EPL.

Crystal Palace lost 3-1 to WestHam yesterday at the Selhurst Park in gameweek 20 of the English Premier League.

Palace took an early lead through talisman Wilfred Zaha on the 3rd minute of the game but lost 3-1 courtesy of a Thomas Soucek brace and Craig Dawson to complete a comeback win for the Hammers.

Jordan Ayew performed brilliantly on the night despite his side’s loss and made history on the 97th minute when he assisted Michy Batshuayi to make him tied with fellow countryman Michael Essien as the Ghanaian with most assists.

The Ghanaian striker was formally tied with his brother Andre Ayew with 9 assists but his assist in yesterday’s crucial contest with WestHam United now make him joint Chelsea Legend Michael Essien.

Jordan Ayew and Michael Essien are now joint with 10 Premier League assists making them the most assisted Ghanaians in the English Premier League.

Jordan Ayew has now assisted 10 and scored 42 times in 240 matches in his entire stay in the English Premier League
