2021 DOL ZONE II: Skyy FC held to a 1-1 draw by FC Samartex 1996 in matchday 3
Skyy FC played out an entertaining 1-1 draw with FC Samartex at the St. Agogo Park in matchday 3 of the ongoing 2021 Division One Zone Two League.
Coach Malik made no changes to his starting eleven that defeated Pacific Heroes 2-0 in matchday 2. The home struggled in the early stages of the game with the visitors FC Samartex dominanting all play.
The visitors indeed broke the deadlock on the 12th minute when foward Benjamin York bend a nice curl into the top left corner whivh beat goalkeeper Emmanuel Ansah.
Skyy FC overturned the pressure unto Samartex shortly after their goal and equalised on the spotkick through talisman Ebenezer Ocran on the 26th minute to draw the game level 1-1.
The forward has now scored three goals in the ongoing league after three games and he now sits behind Bibiani GoldStars FC striker Prince Kwabena Owusu who has four goals and top the goalscorers chart.
Both sides pressed each other in the second half but both couldn’t materialise any of their chances created ending the game tied at 1-1.
Skyy FC currently sit third on the league log with 7 points after matchday 3.
