Tanzanian giants Simba SC have completed the signing of assistant captain of Gor Mahia Joash Onyango.

Onyango had been linked with a move to Simba for some few weeks now with the centre-back having to speak out earlier in June to dismiss talks of any proposed move to the Tanzanian club.

Gor Mahia are currently faced with some financial difficulties which has resulted in the loss of a couple of their star players ahead of the new season.

The 27-year old defender is the latest player to leave the club after the likes of goalkeeper David Mapigano, Boniface Omondi and Peter Odhiambo all parted ways with the Kenyan club.

The details of the contract has not yet been revealed as Simba looks to bolster their already competent squad ahead of the coming season.
