Mali International Bourama Doumbia has been shot in the leg as a result of of the political protests that has been going on in Bamako.
After suffering a gunshot wound, Doumbia has explained that he was going out to see what was happening outside during the protest and was shot as a result.
Doumbia was expected to travel to Cameroon in August to complete a deal with Conton Sport FC de Garoua but it remains to be seen whether the incident could change the course of the transfer.
The 22-year old Djoliba AC midfielder was part of Mali’s U23 side that participated in the 2019 U23 AFCON tournament.
