The Super Green Eagles of Nigeria are set to miss a key player in midfield ahead of World Cup qualifying play off double header against The Ghana Black Stars scheduled for Friday, 25th March and Tuesday, 29th March in Ghana and Nigeria respectively.
Wilfred Ndidi who is an integral member of the Super Green Eagles of Nigeria sustained an injury during UEFA EUROPA League game against French side Renne Innocent Bonke has been called up as replacement for injured Wilfred Ndidi for the matches against Ghana. According to “The Athletic UK” Wilfred Ndidi could be out for the rest of the season, Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has said. The Nigeria international damaged his knee in a tackle against Rennes and are having a second assessment of the severity, but it is feared to be enough to keep him out.
