BREAKING: Medeama SC sack both Yaw Preko and Yaw Acheampong
According to the latest reports, Medeama SC have parted ways with their head coach, Yaw Preko and his assistant, Yaw Acheampong after suffering eviction from the FA Cup.
The ‘Mauves and Yellows’ slipped to a 3-0 defeat to Hearts of Oak last Sunday night at the Cape Coast Stadium in the second semi final of the MTN FA Cup. Yaw Preko joined the Tarkwa-based outfit after an impressive short stint with Great Olympics, with Yaw Acheampong also joining from Elmina Sharks, all prior to the start of the second round. The pair inherited from Samuel Boadu who left the club in the middle of the just ended season, and were handed a six months contract which was due to be renewed at the end of the season strictly depending on their results. Bankroller, Moses Parker has decided not to continue with them having completed a trophyless season missing out on both the league and the league cup, with official confirmation of the exit imminent. The two time FA Cup champions will name a new head coach very soon with Technical Director, Seth Ablaze’s future still not known yet.
