Hearts rejects top French side’s offer for trial of star player.
Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak have rejected an offer from Stade Reims to have Daniel Afriyie Barnie trial with the French outfit for a month.
According to the source, the Ghanaian champions received a letter from Les rouges et blancs last week requesting the Hearts forward trial with them for a month(August-September) before a deal is agreed for the Black Satellites skipper.
Hearts are unhappy with the request tabled by the Ligue 1 side hence rebuffing their request. The Phobians are bent on building a formidable side that will rule locally and internationally as was the case in the early 2000s and are thus poised to keep key players deemed important to this cause.
The much-maligned and lampooned Barnie has been the most improved Hearts player in recent weeks endearing himself to the fans of the club especially with that lone goal scored against Asante Kotoko that cushioned Hearts’ lead on the table in their title push.
