Elmina Sharks secure an important away win against Asante Kotoko to beat relegation

Elmina Sharks who have been battling relegation all season beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko through Benjamin Boateng’s second half strike. The Elmina side have beaten all odds to confirm their participation in next seasons Ghana Premier League after enduring a torrid season.

Elmina Sharks ill fate started when there was issues with regard to club failing to pay player salaries resulting in players leaving to seek pastures new , later Four integral squad members namely Samuel Arthur, Justice Mensah, Emmanuel Gustav Addington and Alhaji Mustapha were suspended for the entire season for misconduct.

Elmina Sharks tallied 41 points, in the 2020/2021 season beating Regional rivals Ebusua Dwarfs who also gained 41 points on better head-to-head.
