Gladson Awako sets ’10 to 15′ goalscoring target for ongoing season campaign
Accra Great Olympics skipper Gladson Awako sets sight on scoring 10 to 15 goals when the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League comes to and end.
The former TP Mazembe star has been very detrimental in the heart of midfield for Great Olympics with explosive performances week in week out powering them to 2nd on the league log after matchday 19.
Accra Great Olympics have been a surprise package in the ongoing season undergoing a good run of form seeing them sit second on the league table with 33 points with just one adrift leaders Asante Kotoko.
Speaking in an interview, Gladson Awako commented on their recent run of form and their aim to win the league. He also spoke about his ability to score goals and help his team achieve their ambition for the league.
“As a midfielder yours is to assist and score goals when the opportunity presents itself.
” I have set a target for the season as an offensive midfielder, I roughly should get between 10 to 15 goals when the league ends.
“I am working towards that even thou I know it won’t be an easy task, we have set up a goal this season which winning the league title” he concluded.
Gladson Awako was named Player of the Month for December and recently featured for the Black Stars in their 3-1 AFCON Qualifier win over Sao Tome and Principé.
