CEO Samuel Arbuah speaks on Sekondi Hasaacas FC’s 90th Anniversary
Chief Executive Officer, Samuel Arbuah has touched briefly and reaffirmed his effort to ensure the Club takes its rightful place in the echelons of the Ghana Football on the Club’s 90th Anniversary.
Sekondi Hasaacas Football Club celebrates its 90th Anniversary on April 1, 2021 since its formation in the 1931.
In the 90 Years of the Club’s existence, 8 recognized trophies have been won by the Club(as the most by any club in the Western Region) and there are other significant successes which have been clutched by the Giants.
In 1977, the Club won its first and ever Ghana Premier League title and from there have gone on to win the West African Football Union 1982 title, the Football Association Cup in 1985 and the Super Cup title in 1985 beating Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak respectively.
The CEO[Samuel Arbuah] has been talking to the Club’s media and recalling some of the famous days of the Club and reassuring the general support base on what is on the come-up –“result is all we desire, but it doesn’t come overnight – there should be work first before we expect the results. Chief among this process is being sound financially and making sure the Club meets all professional requirements.
“It’s worth adding that there are immense history and personalities that have to be mentioned; Late Edward Alexander Nartey, who during his era in 1974 to 1984 helped the Club secure 4 titles, special mention to people like Benjamin Nanabayin Eyison who have played major role administratively and financially supporting the Club till date.
“The reformation of our juvenile team [Marlavands FC] stands out for me in this 2 years journey, we have to rework our way up in promoting and recreating the history we have known this Club for.
“We are calm and working behind the veil to ensure this standard improves and I’m glad to have gotten some wonderful faces and brains to help in this journey” – He told the Club’s Media.
