Zambian striker Patson Daka scored four goals while Enock Mwepu chipped in with one goal on Wednesday as Redbull Salzburg made easy work of lower-tier side Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz thrashing them 10-0 in the first round of the UNIQA ÖFB Cup.

Salzburg who is the defending Champions of the Austrian Cup opened the scores just 13 minutes, Enock Mwepu with a beautiful pass to Patson Daka who set up Sekou Koita for the opening goal of the match with a neat finish from inside the area. Four minutes later Daka was brought down in the box, The referee pointed to the spot, The Zambian striker stepped up and made it 2-0.

It was 3-0 by the 23rd minute as Patson Daka took advantage of a foul on Masaka Okugawa on the edge of the box to hit a beautiful strike grab his brace before turning provider five minutes later setting up Mohammed Camara for a stunner of a goal to make it 4-0.

Enock Mwepu made it 5-0 in the 34th minute with a close-range shot beating the goalkeeper at his near post. Then Patson Daka and Rasmus Nissen Kristensen took over the show combining twice in two minutes with the former scoring two goals in two minutes from the laters assists to make it 7-0.

Youngster Luka Sučić increased the tally to 8-0 just before the break with a well-taken penalty after a defender handled in the box sending Jonas Huchler the wrong way.

The match went to half time, 8-0, The biggest margin in the history of the UNIQA ÖFB Cup.

In the second half, Masaka Okugawa and Max Wöber scored a goal each to complete an emphatic 10-0 humiliation of Bregenz. Patson Daka was withdrawn for Majid Ashmeru at half time while Enock Mwepu was substituted in the 61st minute.

Next up for Salzburg is their first game of the 2020/2021 Austrian Bundesliga League against Wolfsberger AC on Sunday.
