Horoya AC of Guinea have written to the governing body of African football CAF to appeal its decision to stage the semi-final and the final of the Confederations Cup in Morocco.

CAF made the decision to host the remainder of the African Confederations cup in one country in order to reduce the risk posed by the coronavirus disease.

Horoya after deciding to appeal CAF’s decision has been backed by the Guinea Football Federation.

The last four teams in the tournament consists of two Moroccan teams who have been paired together which means that either RS Berkane or Hassania Agadir will play both the semi-final and the final in the comfort of their homes.

The matam club believes that this gives the Moroccans some sort of advantage over their rivals from other countries.

Horoya will face Egyptian side Pyramids in the semi-final of the tournament.
