Former Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou has joined Brazilian outfit Botafogo after leaving German club Hertha Berlin as a free agent.

The Ivorian forward announced his departure from the European side just recently after spending six years with them.

Details of the deal has not been revealed yet by the club but a welcome video was published on the club’s social media handle to welcome the experienced forward.

The 34-year old is expected to team up with his new teammates which includes another known figure in the name of Keisuke Honda when the Brazilian league returns in August.

Kalou has had quite an illustrious career having played for a number of European clubs including London giants Chelsea where he won the UEFA Champions League in 2012.
