Uganda Premier League side Police Football Club has announced the signing of Tony Mawejje from Kuwait top division side Al Arabi SC.

The experienced midfielder has signed a two-year contract with the cops after terminating his contract with his former employers.

Mawejje who is returning to Police FC for his second stint has enjoyed quite an illustrious career. He won his first league title with URA FC in 2009 before leaving for European side  BV Vestmannaeyja in Iceland.

The 33-year old has played for the Uganda national team for 14 years within which he made 83 appearances scoring 8 goals in the process.

Police FC are on a quest to revive the image of the club after the relegation scare last season.
