Ansu Fati has been quite the revelation for Barcelona this season, the talented youngster has put in some good performances to the delight of the vast majority of Barcelona fans worldwide.

The Catalan club are hoping that Fati will be the man to finally take up the mantle from Lionel Messi when the Argentine finally decides to hang his boots.

Meanwhile the player’s father has revealed that in order for his son to reach the heights his talent suggests, slow and steady is the best way to go about it.

“He cannot be a starter,” Bori Fati, the player’s father, told Cadena SER.

“There’s still a long way to go and we’re talking about Barcelona, not Alaves or Mallorca.

“There’s a lot to learn. They’re the best club in the world.”

Whwn quizzed about the performances of Real Madrid this season he said,

Barcelona are Barcelona,”

“Let’s go slowly and that’s it, let’s see who comes out on top.

“I haven’t seen much of Madrid, I always watch Barcelona.

“I don’t usually see Madrid unless they play Barcelona.”

He then talked about recent transfer rumours concerning his son.

“I’ve heard [about the interest],” he said.

“We’re comfortable at Barcelona, in this cule family.

“Everyone who leaves Barcelona wants to return. Ansu is living a dream here so why would he want more?

“We owe Barcelona a lot, we’re happy here and I can’t imagine things there [in Manchester].”
