Ex Inter Milan Center-back Ivan Cordoba is in awe of Belgian Forward Romelu Lukaku, he is of the view that Manchester United made a mistake in letting him go.
The forward joined the Serie A giants from Manchester United for a fee of £74 million on the last day of the previous summer transfer window after an agreement was reached between the two parties.
Lukaku has been excellent in the early stage of his Inter Milan career after his struggles in the latter part of his Man United career.
Cordoba believes that the Red Devils made a huge mistake in letting him go, however, he is delighted that the powerful forward ended up at Inter Milan.
“Lukaku is an extraordinary player,” Cordoba told the Daily Mail.
“Manchester United did not understand the player’s potential and his last season was bad for him. In my opinion Lukaku is proving everyone to be a champion.
“He is determined and the Premier League has improved him a lot. I met him: he is a positive leader in the changing rooms.
“It’s a shame that Manchester United sold him, but I’m happy that Inter bought him. Antonio Conte has been fundamental to his form at Inter.”
