The transfer of Mamelodi Sundowns ace midfielder Gaston Sirino to Egyptian giants Al-Ahly has suffered a huge set back after both clubs failed to reach a compromise.

Al-Ahly wrote to Mamelodi Sundowns demanding the services of the Uruguayan through the recommendations of their head coach Pitso Masomani who joined the club from Mamelodi Sundowns two months ago.

Mamelodi Sundowns has issued a press release authenticating their denial to allow Gaston Sirino joins his former coach at Al-Ahly of Egypt.

The 29 year old joined Mamelodi Sundowns in 2018 from Bolivar in Uruguay and has since become the pollster of the team.

Gaston Sirino since joining them in 2018 has played 55 games and has scored 8 goals for them.
