RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann has said that he’d like to be paired with Real Madrid or Juventus in Monday’s Champions League draw, although for peculiar reasons.

After finishing second in their group, last season’s semi-finalists can face either Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester City, Liverpool or Chelsea in the last 16.

“In terms of possible opponents, I’m glad you’ve asked,” Nagelsmann said in his pre-match press conference before RB Leipzig’s Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen.

“I always listen to the anthem of our next opponent, like I’m doing now with Bremen’s.

“Real Madrid and Juventus have really nice anthems, so I’d like one of those two, but we’ll see.

“I could sing them, although not in perfect Spanish or Italian.”
