The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has reaffirmed its earlier decision to play the rest of the 2019/2020 campaign behind closed doors.
FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala disclosed the need to adhere to the safety protocols that have been outlined by the Ministry of Health and the only way to ensure that the protocols are followed is to play the rest of the league matches behind closed doors.
“We would like to re-emphasize that the league will resume as indicated this weekend behind closed doors. The health situation in the nation, as guided by the authorities still requires that we observe the guidelines provided,” Kashala told Zamfoot.
“Only people that are part of the matchday squad, stadium staff, security personnel, and media are expected to be at the stadia.”
“Our colleagues in the media will be allowed access to stadia subject to observing the guidelines. Media personnel will not be allowed any contact with the players. We will have the broadcast partner SuperSport and also club media officers stepping in to fill the gap,” he added.
