The Ethiopian National team has parted ways with Abraham Mebratu due to financial challenges which has emerged as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 50-year old has been relieved of his duties with his contract set to expire on the 6 of August 2010.

Mebratu has been with the Ethiopian national team as head coach since he was appointed on the 19th of July 2018.

He  previously guided Yemen to the 2019 Asian Cup before he decided help his native Ethiopia qualify for the 2019 African Cup of Nations tournament.
