Chippa United have released a statement to confirm the arrival of former Celtic boss Lehlohonolo Seema as new head coach.

Following his resignation from Bloemfontein Celtic, reports emerged that the coach could be on his way to the Port Elizabeth based club and Chippa have now confirmed those rumours to be true.

In the statement released by the club this morning, it has been revealed that Seema has signed a three year contract making him the 4th coach the club has appointed in the 2019/2020 season alone.

“Chippa United FC hereby confirms that the team has with immediate effect appointed Lehlohonolo Simon Seema as its head coach on a 3-year contract,” read the announcement on their social media page.

“Coach Seema joins the Chilli Boys from Bloemfontein Celtics wherein he put in notable performances and his abilities as a coach at the highest level were evident. Chairman of the club, Mr. Siviwe Mpengesi expressed his support for coach Seema and expressed his confidence in a winning combination between the coach and the ambitions of Chippa United during his tenure.”
