South African club Bloemfontein Celtic have confirmed the resignation of head coach Lehlohonolo Seema.
According to reports in the South African media, the coronavirus pandemic had a devastating effect on the finances of several clubs in the PSL including Celtic which caused the Mangauan club to slash the salary of its employees with the coach said to have been given R 1000 in April.
However, these rumors were quashed by the leadership of the club and the coach himself who insisted that there was no pay cuts or unpaid salaries at the club.
Seema who replaced Steve Komphela in January 2019 has now resigned from his position as head coach with some reports suggesting that he could be on his way to Chippa United who are seeking a replacement for the departed Rhulani Mokwena.
Celtic are sitting 9th on the League table having won 7 in 23 matches.
