Quite a number of Zimbabwean players have thrived in South Africa’s top-flight and Butholezwe Ncube has expressed his desire to follow in similar direction to establish himself as on of the best in the PSL.

Perhaps the 28-year old midfielder has not had the start he would’ve liked but now that he is fully recovered from an injury that has slowed his progress he will be an important part of Amazulu’s fight to survive relegation with the league set to resume.

“I am happy about my performance as it all starts at training and behind the scenes. Then l put all that hard work on match day and without my teammates, family, friends, and our supporters, I am nothing. All thanks to them and thanks to almighty God, who always gives me strength every day, and for the talent he gave me,” Ncube told AmaZulu’s official website.

“l still want to do more for the team. l would be glad and blessed if l win trophies with Usuthu. Now that I am coming back from an [ankle] injury l will make sure that I perform well for the team. I would like to win the league (Absa Premiership), MTN8, and Telkom Knockout Cup. l will keep grinding for more and l want to be one of the best players in the PSL and amongst Africa’s best,” he said.
