Ivory Coast football giants ASEC Mimosa are set to miss out on continental club competition for the second consecutive year.

ASEC were hoping to redeem themselves after they failed to book a place in the various continental competitions last season but any hope of doing so has been dashed after the leadership of the Ivorian League decided to curtail the season.

AQSEC who sit third on the league table have therefore failed to qualify for a place in the continental competitions with the top two teams Racing Club and San Pedro qualifying for the CAF Champions League and Confederations cup respectively.

Meanwhile, Racing club have been crowned as Champions of the Ivorian League for the first time in what is only their second year in the league.
