Barcelona right-back Nelson Semedo despite not being injured was not allowed to train with his teammates on Thursday after it emerged that the Portuguese had failed to adhere to the confinement rules.
Instead of a maximum of 15 persons, Semedo hosted a birthday party with 20 people on Monday without practicing the social distancing protocol which clearly goes against rules that have been put in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease as the La Liga return draws near.
Barcelona decided against including the right-back in their training on Thursday as he awaits his coronavirus result which is expected to be available on Friday. The outcome of the result will determine whether Semedo will be included in the squad against RCD Mallorca or not.
The fear is that after the party on Monday, the pacy defender trained with the rest of his teammates which means that if he is infected then there’s a very good chance that his teammates are too.
