Following Cameroon’s refusal to host the remaining CAF Champions League games of the 2019/2020 season, the Tunisian FA has expressed its desire to host the event.

CAF had earlier penned a letter to Cameroon in which the governing body of football in Africa sought confirmation from the West African country as to whether they will be ready in time to host the semi-finals and the final matches of the Champions League.

However, Cameroon decided against hosting the event citing weather conditions and the country’s inability to put proper measures in place to combat the COVID-19 pandemic as the reason for their refusal.

This has opened a door for certain countries to express their willingness to host the prestigious club competition.

Tunisian are the latest to reveal their desire to host the remainder of the competition after consulting with the country’s Ministry of Youth and Sports.
