Nigeria Professional League side Abia Warriors has appointed Imama Amapakabo as new permanent coach ahead of the 2020/2021 football season.
The Umuahia-based club has been without a permanent coach since early February when Cameroonian manager Emmanuel Deutsch was sacked following a run of poor performances.
Willy Udube was then appointed to take over the coaching role on interim basis before the league was suspended and later cancelled.
Imama Amapakabo who just missed out on the upcoming Olimpic games with the Nigerian U23 team will be hoping to impress his new employers when the new season commence.
Amapakabo has enjoyed spells at Rivers FC, Rangers International and El Kanemi Warriors in his managerial career so far.
