One could argue that football in South Africa is edging a bit closer to normal with players in the country’s top-flight gradually returning to training in preparation towards the resumption of the ABSA premiership.

Supersport United have joined the likes of Amazulu, Cape Town City and Polkwane City in restarting training after following the necessary protocols which have been outlined to guide the return of football in the country.

Speaking to Kickoff.com, Polkwane City coach confirmed his team’s return to group training. He said, “Yes, we are back at training. We only started yesterday,”

“At the moment we are just involved in group training and making sure we follow all the necessary health measures put up by government and the PSL.”

Meanwhile the PSL is yet to reveal the exact date the ABSA Premiership and the GladAfrica championship will kick-start.
