With the return of league now closer than ever, Real Madrid star Toni Kroos has stated that the team which can adapt better without the support of their fans will have a greater chance of winning the league.
“It is much better to train with the group, you have to play games in training,” he told the club’s media.
“Now things seem more normal and we prefer it.
“During the weeks in which we were at home we hadn’t touched the ball much.
“The most important thing is to touch the ball a lot.
“We train with intensity to arrive in the best possible way to the first game.
“We cannot do more, this situation is the same for everyone.”
“You have to work a lot on the physical aspect, the feeling with the ball and how we have to play as a group.
“We are training for the 11 remaining games.
“It is the first time that we have to play games without fans, we’ll see how that goes.
“The team that best adapts to this situation is the one that will win,” Kroos believes.
The German took time to remember Madrid’s Champions league triumph over Juventus in Cardiff.
“I have good memories, we won 4-1,” he said of that night.
“The second half was one of the best in my six years here.
“It was the second after [2016 final in] Milan, a night that we will always remember.”
