Fauozi Benzarti vacates his position as Head Coach of Libya

Former boss of Esperance de Tunis Fauozi Benzarti has stepped down as Head coach of the Libyan National team .

The Tunisian was signed by the national team of Libya on 25 October 2019 on a six-month deal replacing the then boss Jalal Damja.

Having been given an option to renew his contract after the six-month tenure has expired, Benzarti has opted against renewing his contract with the Mediterranean Knights thereby bringing an end to his second stint with the country.

Benzarti played just two matches with the North African country loosing 4-1 to Tunisian and winning 2-1 against Tanzania in his second.

He has enjoyed most of his coaching career in Tunisia where he has managed quite a number of cubs including EO Sidi Bouzid, US Monastir and Etoille du Sahel a club with which he won the Tunisian League title during the 1986/1987 season.
