Senegal record covid-19 cases ahead of their AFCON match against Zimbabwe

Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly have headlined 9 Senegal players that are COVID-19 positive ahead of their Monday 2021 Afcon clash against Zimbabwe.

Aliou Cisse held his third training session in Cameroon with only 16 players today, Saturday, January 8.

The session, which was to be held at the Bandjoum Stadium, was relocated to the Tagidor complex because of the positive cases of COVID-19.

Saliou Ciss, Bamba Dieng, Mame Baba Thiam, Pape Matar Sarr, Nampalys Mendy, and Alfred Gomis are still in Senegal for not yet returning negative test for the virus.

Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly are the other two positive cases.

Ismaïla Sarr and Abdoulaye Seck are out injured, and Mamadou Loum Ndiaye arrived in Cameroon only yesterday.

Abdou Diallo, Idrissa Gueye, Pape Gueye, Alioune Badara Faty, Keita Baldé, Fodé Ballo-Touré, Cheikhou Kouyaté, Bouna Sarr, Seny Dieng, Sadio Mané, Pape Abou Cissé, Ibrahima Mbaye, Habib Diallo, Boulaye Dia, and Joseph Name, Moustapha Lopy were the players who trained.
